Overview

A certified registered nurse anesthetist is a registered nurse who is approved as an advanced nurse practitioner by the state in which he or she practices and is currently certified by either the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program rules are located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 354, SubChapter A, Division 21, Rules 1301-1302.

Reimbursement rules applicable to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist are located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, SubChapter J, Division 12, Rule 8221 and Division 5, Rule 8085.
