Community Based Alternatives (CBA)

Overview

This program provides home- and community-based services to people who are elderly and to adults with disabilities as a cost-effective alternative to living in a nursing home.

Methodology/Rules

The Texas Community Based Alternatives (program-specific) Cost-Finding Methodology is located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, SubChapter E, Rule 503.

Cost Determination Process Rules applicable to the Texas Community Based Alternatives Program are located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, SubChapter A, Rules 101-111.

Rules pertaining to the maintenance of contractor records for the CLASS program are located in Title 40 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 1, Chapter 49, Subchapter C, Rule §49.305 and Rule §49.307.

Rules pertaining to the Attendant Compensation Rate Enhancement are located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, SubChapter A, Rule 112.
