Rider 43

In accordance with the directive from the 2014-15 General Appropriations Act (Article II, Health and Human Services Commission, Rider 43, S.B. 1, 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013), the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducted a survey of providers on their expenditures in federal fiscal year 2015 (October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015) related to the following programs:

  • Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH)
  • Uncompensated Care (UC) Waiver
  • Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments (DSRIP)
  • Indigent Care

In addition, the survey collected information on payments by hospitals to entities that provided consultative services for revenue maximization in federal fiscal year 2015.

Below is a link to a Microsoft Excel file to view the results of the Rider 43 Expenditures Survey. The file is a representation of the survey form providers were asked to fill out. By selecting the white cell in the middle of the yellow box at the top of the file, providers that responded to the survey may be selected from the drop down box. Once the provider is selected, the survey form will populate with that specific provider’s responses. Another provider may be selected by selecting the drop down box again and choosing a different provider. Once a new provider is selected the survey fields will update with the newly selected providers information.
