Overview

The HHSC Provider Finance Department (PFD) Local Funding (LF) Payments Team ensures IGT is received from local governmental entities (LGEs), and payments are distributed to providers from directed and supplemental payment programs.

New LGEs and New Providers

I’m an LGE that wants to submit IGT for the first time.: If you belong to a local governmental entity that has never sent funds to HHSC via an IGT and want to begin doing so, please email PFD_Payments@hhs.texas.gov or call 512-803-6372.
I’m a Provider participating for the first time in a Medicaid Supplemental or Directed Payment Program.: If you are a provider participating in a Medicaid Supplemental or Directed Payment program for the first time, please email PFD_Payments@hhs.texas.gov.

Directed Payment Programs (DPPs)

Medicaid providers participating in HHSC’s DPPs are paid through Texas Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs), which receive additional funding through their monthly capitation rate from HHSC and are directed to increase payment rates for participating providers.
